Nancy, Mom, Monica and Jane
Our Christsmas was great. Some of the family gathered at our house - Jane and Ken drove up from Portland in the morning and Monica arrived in the afternoon. We had a nice turkey dinner and Jane made on of her fabulous deserts. Luckily we ate early so we could "work off" some of the food while watching a good movie. Mom was so excited in the morning when she realized her daughters would be visiting. She had a full day catching up with them, and to top it off Ryan and Jessie and their children spent some time with us as well. Mom always loves to see Fischer, who will be 1 year old in January.
Mom had a nice little holiday celebration with Sharon, her care giver, on Wednesday. They get along well and we are fortunate to have Sharon involved with Mom. Mom will get a bit of vacation as she is going back to Jane and Ken's on Sunday and will stay through the New Year's holiday (don't forget the midnight herring on new Year's eve!). Mom likes visiting with Jane, she helps with the cooking and baking and keeps Ken in line. She spent her Thanksgiving holiday there and also got to see Julie, Ken and Amy.
